Before we launch the Warrior Collection, I wanted to outline the names and the scents used in it. Each one has significant meaning and I can't wait to share them, so without any further delay, here we go!
EMBRACE THE SUCK This one has had more comments and messages sent than any of the others, so I'm just going to rip the band aid off and get right into it. The premise behind this one is pretty simple - a storm is coming and you have no choice but to ride it out. It's going to be one heck of a ride but once you make it through, you'll be stronger because of it. It's a blend of ozonic thunderstorm and mud, yes...mud. No one comes out clean from a storm.
BRAVO ZULU When these words are spoken in the Navy, it means one thing - Well Done. It's time to say well done to ALL of our military and first responders. Thank you all for your service - active duty, reserves and veterans. Past and Present. We appreciate you and we salute you. Bravo Zulu. This scent is a dark aquatic comprised of sea salt, amber, musk, ozonics, and cardamom.
DUTY + HONOR You feel the calling and nothing is going to stand in your way. Douglas MacArthur said it best, "Duty, Honor, Country — those three hallowed words reverently dictate what you ought to be, what you can be, what you will be. They are your rallying point to build courage when courage seems to fail, to regain faith when there seems to be little cause for faith, to create hope when hope becomes forlorn." It's a complex blend of leather, smoke, woods, and vanilla.
LEAD THE WAY Lead. The. Way. It's that simple. This scent brings the woodsy training ground right to your space. Maple, pine, dead leaves and more are blended with a sweet smokiness.
THE NEGOTIATOR The Negotiator is the voice of reason that's holding back a pack of wolves. It's the soothing, late night DJ voice in the midst of chaos and turmoil. The Negotiator has nerves of steel. It's a blend of currants, tea, amber and cedar.
THE OPERATOR Who is an Operator? There is an old saying about the operators - they keep the wolf at bay so that we may never see it. This leads many to believe there is no wolf. The Operator is ready to go at a moment's notice, regardless of the time or place. Operators train hard, work hard and when needed, play hard. This scent is comprised of the four main food groups of an Operator (listed alphabetically so no one can say we're biased): Coffee, Gunpowder, Tobacco, and Whiskey.
TIP OF THE SPEAR The tip of the spear. The front line of all front lines. It's remote and intense. It requires focus, grit and determination like no other. Buckle up - you're in for a fight. This scent is a dirty blend of sandalwood, gunpowder and soil.
- DEFENDERS OF THE REALM My husband was on TDY at RAF Alconbury in early 1989. In the wee hours of the morning, a proper Englishman said to him, "Life is not easy for the Defenders of the Realm." That story has stuck with me and became the catalyst for this entire collection. Of course there had to be a scent for this moment. To read the whole story as told by my husband, check out our blog post (coming soon). A crisp and cold rosemary, pine and mint scent.
Each scent will be available in a mini tin, large tin and black tumbler candles. They're also available in room spray (perfect for the vehicle and gear bag) and flame free wax melts (perfect for those stinky training facilities). You can also purchase a bundle of all the scents, we call it "The Team."
I hope you enjoy this collection as much as we enjoyed putting it together. It's honestly a real passion project of mine. I can't wait to support Firehouse Subs Foundation, the Gary Sinese Foundation and Team Rubicon with the proceeds from the sales of these candles!
